Hello Dear Readers
So I thought I'd post a specific point about my blog so as to do some clarifying. I bet many of you read my first post then read my second and were "This is a very liberal blog." I want to point out that my posts are not slanted, they're objective.
There is a great deal of confusion between bias or slanted writing and objective and neutral writing.
Here's a break down; objective writing looks objectively at the events. It doesn't presume a subjective point of view. Which means, while I may have my own personal political bias my writing and response are not subjective.
So while it seems like I'm railing on Republicans or as I prefer Retardicans, and Christians, it is only because they are the major proponents behind the problems in our country right now. If the reverse were true, if Liberals, Democrats, and Atheists committed the same stunts I'd be all over them for it.
Rather, I want to write an objective article on the matter and that doesn't inherently infer neutrality.
There is a great deal of attempted neutrality in our media. This neutrality falsely frames the events and presents an false equivalency between the two parties and their actions.
From a biblical perspective, for those christians out there reading my blog, a false equivalency is when two things are compare as equals. It would be for you as if your pastor compared Satan to God and said they're equally responsible for the woes of the world and while Satan is causing all this strife, why hasn't God negotiated with Satan yet to stop his temper tantrum? To clarify in this analogy God is the liberal side and Satan is the Republican side of this.
So, to conclude my point, please don't confuse neutrality to objectivity. I'm objective, but that means I'm going to state who is the cause of problems in my posts and not put the blame where it isn't deserved.
